Sanjay Kapoor Takes A Friendly Dig At KJo While Discussing Nepotism; Makes Fun Of Ananya Panday As Wife Maheep Kapoor Shares Her Struggle Story

Filmmaker and producer Karan Johar has been at the receiving end of trolls and criticism from a long time now courtesy, the discussion surrounding nepotism in Bollywood. However, most of the times, he chooses to pay no heed to it. Only recently, KJo's 'Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives' made it to Netflix. It's a series that gives an inside glimpse into the daily lives of some of the popular star wives of Bollywood like Seema Khan, Neelam Kothari, Maheep Kapoor and Bhavna Panday. The show released yesterday and has opened to a mixed response. The show also featured Sanjay Kapoor, wife of Maheep Kapoor, in a special appearance and he could be seen sharing his two cents on nepotism. Sanjay revealed how it wasn't nepotism that got him work despite being in the industry for over three decades.
Sanjay was seen discussing nepotism with his wife Maheep Kapoor and in the mid of the same, he took a friendly jibe at Karan Johar by saying how he's finally got the chance to work with him. Well, he said that because FLBW has been produced by KJo's Dharma Productions. Kapoor said, "I’m finally doing something with Karan. It took me 25 years for finally this nepotism to work. I’ve been hearing nepotism for three years. Nepotism nepotism nepotism - I’ve known Karan for 30 years. So finally it’s work which has got me work, not nepotism."
Sanjay added, "People need to understand that. Otherwise, I would’ve been the busiest actor in the world. The amount of people I know, I would have been doing the best work in the best of films, everything. To dilute anybody’s career by saying it happened because of nepotism I don’t think it’s fair," he said.
Further, as Maheep recalled her struggling days as a model, Sanjay Kapoor connected it to Ananya's struggle remark that got her trolled like there's no tomorrow. Maheep revealed how she was modelling and couldn’t afford lunch. She used to be dependent on jam sandwiches and wait for Sanjay to come home, give her food because he paid for it. To which, Sanjay joked, "You struggle with jam and toast, you are sounding like Ananya. Your struggle is as good." LOL!
